Open casting workshop – Cambridge & Bristol
Call out for: Actors / Actor Musicians / Actor Puppeteers / Musicians!
NIE UK are casting for a new family Christmas show and for touring projects in 2018 / 19 and beyond.
We are particularly interested to meet more artists from diverse backgrounds.
Alex Byrne will lead a workshop introducing NIE’s approach to tragic / comic / magical / musical / devised theatre. We will work with improvisation, play and the connection of live music with performance.
Artists who play will be invited to bring their instrument as we will work with music as a key and spur for improvisation using musicality and rhythm as tools in performance.
We love to work with artists who:
Are from a variety of places / countries / traditions
Speak different languages
Are interested in devising and being part of making our work
Are intelligent and inspiring
Are interested in making work for children and families
Are great fun to work with and are playful
