London, United Kingdom - Thursday 22 October 2020 - New International Encounter, Hamlet.

"They've experienced Shakespeare and they liked it."

— Teacher at Gayhurst Community School

Hamlet provided a wonderful opportunity for our students to be immersed in live theatre at school. The production was incredible. Our Year 6 children were transfixed throughout the performance, enjoying the acting, live music and singing. (Ella Jones, Deputy Headteacher)

A brand new show, re-telling Hamlet in 45 minutes by 2 actors, 1 musician and a few items in a suitcase.

NIE’s ensemble of actor/musicians find inventive ways to tell this big and most famous of stories in a funny and accessible way. We are working with teachers to develop online material that can be viewed as well as the live show.

We have trialed a socially distanced performance in schools and will work with teachers to ensure the live show is delivered in a safe way at this time.

We are now booking for October 2021! If you are interested in this coming to your school, then please get in touch and email emily.blackwell@nie-theatre.com
