Top Secret at Alconbury
40 young people (13-18yrs) designed, made, performed and managed a new show alongside NIE’s international artists in the former Nuclear Bunker at Alconbury Weald, UK in July 2016. A local audience enjoyed the promenade show featuring animation, sound, film and performance evealing the ‘secrets’ of Alconbury Weald, former U2 Spy Plane base.
Supported by Heritage Lottery Fund, NIE and the young people took members of the public on guided tours of the bunker as part of the Heritage Open Days in September 2016.
Top Secret is made in partnership with NNF Bridge, Huntingdon Area Partnership, Ramsey Neighbourhood Trust, Huntington Regional College, Urban & Civic & Cambridgeshire County Council. NIE have been commissioned to deliver a Theatre Arts and employability project with young people from the Huntingdon Area.
