NIE’s storytelling, creative writing and drama workshops bring imaginative new approaches to the curriculum and whole school development. We can offer performances, workshops and projects working with your school and a team of talented professional artists.

Workshops can be tailored to suit age and ability. We can offer one-off workshops or develop a longer-term project together. Working with young people as co-creators and as artists in their own right, our projects develop confidence, team building, literacy, self-esteem, digital and leadership skills.

Curriculums:
Art & Design/ English/ History/ Music/ Citizenship

Art Forms:
Drama & Performance/ Film/ Heritage / Music/ Visual Arts

“Being involved with Tales from the Edge of Town has been a fantastic experience. NIE theatre company has provided students with a fantastic opportunity to work with industry professionals. They are fun and approachable group of individuals who have made the students feel comfortable enough to try new skills and experiences in turn helping to develop their confidence. Students have shown a high level of dedication to the project because of the enthusiasm brought by the company and active involvement through the creative process.”

enthralled. Many of them could recognize their ideas in what they saw. It was
greatly enjoyed, but more importantly, will have a long-lasting effect, and even
impact on their future direction, for many of them. Fantastic!”
— Sally Haiselden, Head Teacher at Cherry Hinton Primary School
