Welcome to the NIE seminar 26.5. 13:00-16:00 in Palác Akropolis. NIE have been touring the world for the last 25 years to 43 countries. We started out in the small town of Mšeno in Czechia, and then we had our first premiere in Mostar in Bosnia. We wanted to make something new, and by doing that we realized that the work we had made worked also for youth, even though we thought we had made it for adults. It was years later that some of us read Jon Fosse’s ideas of “all-age literature” and translated this into “all-age theatre”. It’s possible to reach out between generations with art. We are inviting our precious co-makers and collaborators for this seminar, and we look forward to the conversation around the table. This seminar will give you an insight to artists that have worked with generations, gender, gaffatape and long gloomy times, and also to artists that have not worked for a long time. NIE came together in 2001 with a desire to explore performing arts across languages and nations. Investigating the thematic possibilities and challenges that arise when creating collectively with different cultural, social, and linguistic backgrounds – this is still our most important driving force.

NIE ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL IN PRAGUE!

We gather for four days of performances, music, and a seminar. The programme features the second premiere of MŮRA, The Song of Lost Treasures, the revived premiere of Brothers & Sisters. We close the festival with Jeden a jeden a jeden. Here you can find shows for both smaller children, teenagers and adults of all ages.
