It may only be July, and in the midst of a mini heat wave in the UK, but in the UK office we are looking to Christmas! We are currently applying to be a part of the 2026 Big Give Christmas Challenge.  We will be asking for people’s support to gift creative activity to a child or young person in the UK this Christmas.  For many young people access to cultural activity is limited, and we work to improve access to meaningful cultural activities for CYP who face poverty of opportunity.

As part of the application process we are seeking match fund pledges** to submit with the application. Could you help us?  These pledges are promises of funding, and can be made by anyone (individuals, organisations or companies) willing to match fund some of our fundraising efforts during the Big Give.  If our application is successful every donation received during the Christmas campaign is doubled and will make a huge difference to the impact our work can have.  Access to creative and cultural activity for children and young people is unequal; many experience financial and social barriers to accessing cultural opportunities. In the areas we work in limited accessible arts activities locally, leave young people without opportunity to try new things and build confidence through arts and cultural activity

If successful in our application we will be asking for support to provide access to meaningful cultural activities for children and young people who face poverty of opportunity.  We will take creative learning opportunities into schools and communities; providing workshops, storytelling, co-creation and performance opportunities.   A pledge could support our work in schools and communities, ensuring this remains free at the point of access for pupils & that performances of our professional productions can be offered for free or greatly reduced prices to those communities.

**Please note pledges are promises of funding – this pledge needs to be made by 5pm on the 28th August 2026.  A pledge only needs to be fulfilled if we are accepted to participate and receive donations in the campaign

If you, your organisation, or someone you know can support us with a pledge of at least £100 please click on the ‘make your pledge’ link by 4pm on Friday 28th August. Make Your Pledge
