Macbeth

In June 2022 we had a week of development for a 45 minutes version of the ‘Scottish play’.

This would be the second show in a strand of flexible touring work: Shakespeare in a Suitcase, which started with Hamlet in 2019.

Macbeth is a shorter play but has a more tightly wound plot. We started looking at how to condense down the play without  losing key characters and plot points.At the of the week, the actors played to the target age range – Key Stage 2 (8-11yrs) in two sharings at Oxford House.The children enjoyed and gave useful feedback. Plenty of problems to solve but we are in a good place for next steps.
